Last winter, when I was feeling anxious too looking to shift things inward my life, I started a gratitude jar. The inspiration came from an paradigm I had saved inward my "happy folder" on my desktop computer.

It said to start the jounce on Jan 1st, adding to it every twenty-four hours for a year, thence opening it on New Year's Eve to read through all the practiced things that happened to y'all the twelvemonth before.

It was mid-February at the time, but I started 1 anyway. I had simply purchased a newspaper planner (The Simplified Planner past times Emily Ley), thence I took v minutes to write a weekly reminder to myself (all the agency through Dec 24th) to add together to the gratitude jounce every Tuesday.

But I knew it would live slow to glance at the newspaper planner & ignore it. So, I also created a weekly digital reminder using google calendar. (see pic below)

I'm proud to tell that betwixt those ii reminders, I stuck to the habit! This is coming from a sometime procrastinator & Type B gal.

Of course, I wasn't perfect almost it. There were weeks that I missed adding to the jounce because I was wrapped upwards inward things or out of town, but I went dorsum through too caught up.

This is where doing it on a weekly footing helps. Less pressure level to proceed upwards amongst it on a daily footing too y'all tin easily reverberate dorsum on the previous week's bigger + smaller (yet significant) moments.
